Our Mission

Mission Statement

“Elevation Robotics empowers students through competitive robotics and drone programs that build STEM skills, confidence, and teamwork.”

— Bylaws of Elevation Robotics, Article II, Section 2.1

Elevation Robotics is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our core purpose is to increase participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for students through competitive robotics and aerial drone programs.

We believe that competitive robotics is not just about winning — it is a powerful educational tool that develops critical thinking, engineering design skills, programming proficiency, teamwork, and perseverance. Every program we operate is designed to advance these educational outcomes.

Background & Formation

How We Got Started

Elevation Robotics was incorporated as a Colorado nonprofit corporation on February 24, 2026, for the purpose of increasing student participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education through competitive robotics and aerial drone programs.

The organization was founded by individuals with direct experience in the VEX Robotics and RECF Aerial Drone competition ecosystems who identified a need for additional support infrastructure in Colorado to help more students access competitive robotics opportunities.

Colorado has a growing robotics community, but many schools — particularly those in under-resourced districts — lack the equipment, funding, and coaching expertise to participate. Elevation Robotics was created specifically to address these gaps: by hosting competitions that bring the experience to more students, lending expensive field equipment at no cost, providing grants to teams that cannot afford registration fees, and training coaches who are building programs from scratch.
